I received an email tonight about Teri being in the new InStyle Magazine. (Thanks T Here is the information I have so far: quote: I just wanted to let you know that Teri is in April issue of InStyle magazine. Apparently Teri was at the cognac-laced party which Whoopi Goldberg hosted.
As soon as I get a scan of the picture, I will post it and I should be getting my issue in the mail (hopefully tomorrow) and will post more details as soon as I have them ADDITIONAL Information 3/19/00 Teri is also pictured in the inset of page 34 on the Table of Contents for the story. It is a smaller version of the one posted below and this is what it says: quote: Entertaining Whoopi Goldberg clinks snifters with Teri Hatcher and other lucky guests at a glamorous soiree.

TM just sent over another picture from page 498. (Thanks Much!) Looks like a private dinner party of some sort and it also looks like it might possibly be Jon on the other side of Teri, but his head is turned so I can't tell for sure.

Hi All, Sorry for the long absence, but my old computer made it impossible to post on any boards!! But, I'm back now with a new computer! Anyway, since Teri is obviously chummy with Whoopie, do you think we may be seeing Teri having a guest part in Hollywood Squares?IP: 216.226.215.18 |

Pages 497 - 500 in the Entertaining Section. There are quite a few pictures with this story - 2 of them (with Teri) are shown here and the third is actually a back shot of Teri who is in the background since the picture is actually a closeup of Whoopi and RuPaul (see below quote: Whooping it upWith a nod to Old Hollywood elegance, Goldberg hosts a cognac-laced party that is anything but square When planning a party there is the gold standard, and then there is the Goldberg standard. Whoopi's winning formula: "Alcohol, great food and really cute waiters." All were in abundance at the dinner the Oscar-winning actress, Hollywood Squares regular and longtime cognac aficionado hosted in honor of Timeless, Hennessy's newest and rarest brandy, making for a high-glamour evening reminiscent of vintage Timseltown parties. Goldberg even ensured that her guests traveled in style, having each of them chauffeured to her art deco Pacific Palisades home in an antique Rolls-Royce. "When Whoopi told me that she was having a party for Hennessy, I initially thought it was for this exotic dancer from New York that I know," cracked an out-of-drag RuPaul. As lilting jazz standards filled the grand black-and-white-checkered foyer, Lois & Clark's Teri Hatcher, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch's Caroline Rhea and Cabaret's Michael York got acquainted over canapes. "This is how I would love to live on a daily basis," said Goldberg, alluding to the heaps of caviar being served by a pair of French waiters who had been flown in especially for the fete. The highlight of the night, however, was the toast. "There are only 2,000 bottles of this cognac in the world --- and they are made out of the best II vintages of the century, starting from 1900 to 1990," said Maurice Hennessy, as servers filled snifters all around with the rare drink, valued at $3,000 a bottle. After several sweet sips, Goldberg asked, "Are we all cognaced yet? Let's toast each other!" Caroline Rhea, whom Goldberg had met at Comic Relief a couple of years back, lamented, "I can hear my father crying all the way in Arizona that he's hot here." Teri Hatcher, leaving early with a Waterford crystal clock, the evening's parting gift, noted of her Soapdish co-star: "Whoopi is just the most down-to-earth host." Fortunately, the same can't be said of her dinner parties. --Honor Brodie
On page 498 here is the paragraph about the 2 page spread of pictures quote: Above: Goldberg says her "transformed living room is usually filled with "leather chairs, a gigantic television, books, knickknacks and tons of pictures of the grandkids." Left: RuPaul, sans wig, with Whoopi. Opposite, clockwise from top right: Alex Martin Dean (Goldberg's daughter) and Bernard Dean; Teri Hatcher opts for a glass of bubbly; the hostess and guests chill out to the soothing jazz of Aztech; Hennessy's new cognac; Caroline Rhea and Moet-Hennessy U.S. vice president Larry Greifer.
There is also alot of little tidbits about the menu (including recipes) and such. Enjoy! IP: 152.163.204.201 |

Well did you ever, what a swell party that was! Teri appeared in Soapdish, of course, with Whoopi....for once I am ahead of the game thanks to you, April. I have booked a copy of Instyle from a local newsagent, when it turns up.
